The city of Madrid, Spain is investing in the conservation of its contemporary architecture. The cultural heritage department published a list of 10 famous 20th-century buildings, which will receive the highest level of protection. Read the full article (in Spanish) here.

Meanwhile in Belgium, the regional government announced it will double renovation grants for high-efficiency glass and external wall insulation. The goal is for renovated homes to reach the same level of energy performance as new homes by 2050. Read the full story (in Dutch) here.
